My Story
I've always been creative and have had a passion for all things artistic from an early age. Drawing, painting, design, textiles… you name it, I love it (I also used to play piano and ballet dance… although I have the grace of a baby elephant!)
My spark for creativity carried on throughout my adult life and career. But I didn't really set out to make my art a business. It just kind of happened!

In January 2019, my husband and I moved to Germany for his job.
It was my birthday in the June, and my mother-in-law bought me a watercolour and colour pencil kit. Even though I’d never dabbled with watercolour painting before, I was excited to give it a try. After all, I wasn’t working at the time, so I had plenty of time on my hands to practise!
When we returned to the UK at the beginning of 2020, I went back to my job as a beauty therapist, but I was still honing my artistic skills whenever I got the chance. I’d totally got the bug for it!
The pivotal moment came when the lady I was working for at the time asked me if I could paint a portrait of her dog. So I thought, why not. I’ll give it a go!
Well, things spiralled (in a good way!) with more and more people asking me to paint portraits of their beloved pooches!
And something clicked. I could actually do this for a living!
So, I decided to set up a website, and by Christmas, I had more orders than I could ever have dreamed of. So many that I had to switch off the website to be able to keep on top of everything.
When the first lockdown came in March 2020, I found myself with more free time on my hands again. And this was when I decided to really give my business a proper go!
It makes me so proud to think it all started through word of mouth recommendations, and here I am today painting portraits of your precious pets. I’m so incredibly grateful!
When I’m not drawing, you’ll usually find me out and about with my little boy (we sometimes let my husband hang out with us too, if he’s lucky!)
I also love to read, fiction mostly… anything I can curl up and get in lost in is a winner!
I’m a bit of a foodie too, so I love to cook. Massaman curry is my absolute favourite!

Commissioning your portraits really is a dream come true, and knowing they can hold such meaning when received or gifted is just the icing on the cake!
